eMath textbooks

eMath textboks are digital textbooks that can be used both as course books in class teaching and for self-study. The books are now available in three language, English, Swedish, and Finnish. The books cover middle school math, high school math, as well as teacher education courses. The textbooks contain lots of assignments that the students can solve with the derivation editor and the checker, as described above. The textbooks follow a standard curriculum for mathematics.

Self-study

The eMath textbooks provide an efficient support for self-studies. Each textbook comes with a study path, a collection of assignments that the student solves using the eMath method described above. The mastery learning principle guarantees that the student will learn each topic without significant gaps. The checker provides immediate personal feedback when solving a problem, identifying problems in the solution, while the editor allows flexible fixing of the errors found. The student can easily share a problematic solution with others, to get some advice or help.

Courses

The eMath textbooks can also be used as course books in traditional class teaching, as well as in online courses. A teacher can choose an existing eMath textbook as a course book, and adapt the content to his or her own liking, or as required by a natitional curriculum. The teacher can give assignments from the course book, and can also create own assignments. The teacher create his/her own course book from scratch, for own teaching or for use in a larger community.
